Things of Green
When my heart feels like an empty cave, so barren and unseen
I see I'm being welcomed back by all the things of green
The gentle grass caress my feet
Tree branches wave hello
People can be so difficult
But this, this world I know
I know the dance of faery folk, lightheartedness and fun
I know the joy of daylight and the radiance of sun
Mourn not for that which people do, their fickleness and greed
It's these lush fertile greenlands that have everything I need
No matter where I rest my head, no matter where I go
Through stormy nights and sunny days, I never am alone
For life is wild and all encompassing
The future is unseen
But I have love and reverence for everything that's green
