af-Prayer for those who have experienced Pregnancy loss

Unfortunately, pregnancy loss remains a taboo topic, leaving many suffering in silence. This prayer is dedicated to anyone who may have experienced pregnancy loss - through miscarriage, termination, stillbirth - or anyone who may have lost a child, or would like to send healing to anyone who has experienced the loss of a child. The intention of this prayer so that all those who carry pain or grief around this subject through direct experience or in knowing someone who has, will find peace and feel seen and supported. 

If praying for healing for someone else's pregnancy loss, please replace [my/me] with the name of the parent who experienced the loss.

To the God Most High

And the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ

And the Divine Cosmic Mother

Please deliver me from my grief at the loss of my child

Please soothe my heart, which aches at the weight of this loss

Reflecting my burning love for my child

And the aching pain of their absence

Dear God

Please heal any memories of being dismissed, belittled, or where the pain of this loss was not honoured by family members, doctors, nurses, priests, clergy folk, or any other authority figure or person around me

And where the memory of my child was met with shame and silence

And where I was expected to suffer alone

Dear Cosmic Mother

Please heal my heart and mind from any guilt or shame that I carry around the circumstances of the loss of my child

Where my own choices or decisions contributed in some way to the ending of this pregnancy

And my child's ascension into heaven

Please heal any trauma I carry in my heart, mind and body

In relation to the experience of this loss

And where I have suffered in silence under the weight of sorrow, guilt, shame and grief

By the purifying waters of the Holy Spirit

May I be cleansed of any beliefs or imprints that were formed by religious doctrine or cultural propaganda

That would imply that my child is anywhere other than at peace and within the safety of the loving arms of God

Dear God

Please release me of any doubt or fear as to the whereabouts of the soul of my child 

As I hand them into your loving arms

So that you may watch over them for eternity in heaven

Or until such time that their soul chooses to return to the earthly plane

To continue your work as a heavenly messenger on Earth, under your divine protection

By the power of the God Most High

And the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ

And the Divine Cosmic Mother

And everywhere YHWH (Yahweh) is

May my child be loved and held now and for all eternity
